A big trend this year was the rustic look with plenty of timber, lace and hessian.

A table centrepiece for a rustic wedding by Bridal Magic

JR Cake Designs debuted their naked cake collection at the Bridal Fair – a style of cake that would fit right in at rustic wedding with natural toppings of fresh flowers and fruit.

Though cakes weren’t the only delicacy to sample with plenty of delicious desserts to try at The Sweet Spot Bake Shoppe exhibit

Exhibitors continued the rustic look putting on stunning displays at their sites.

1362 Catering Co. recycled a gorgeous pair of doors in their display

Greenery ran wild at the Starcut Flowers exhibit

Many couples were able to make bookings on the day.

A roving fashion parade by Under the Veil gave brides-to be a close up look at bridal gowns and added to the atmosphere at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre.

A main fashion parade was organised by Jill Burston for Brides. There was plenty of lace, flowers, and delicate beading on display.

A second fashion parade was organised by Chetcuti fashion. The Chetcuti resort wear collection is perfect for tropical honeymoons, but even has some designs for a mother-of-the-bride looking for an outfit for a summer wedding.
