Mackay’s brides-to-be have plenty of chances to win at Mackay’s first wedding expo of 2015.

Now in its 29th year, Mackay’s Premier Annual Bridal Fair is Mackay’s longest running wedding expo and many hundreds of people are expected to descend on the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre this Sunday.

Expo organiser Lucy Dillon, from Lucy Dillon for Brides/Crafty Cat, said Mackay’s Premier Annual Bridal Fair aims to make it easier for locals organising weddings and other special events.

“We’ve brought together as many businesses as possible on the day to give couples all sorts of inspiration for their wedding day.”

“Those that aren’t getting married should get plenty of ideas for other special events, like birthday parties, too.”

Mrs Dillon said they always worked to improve the wedding expo.

“Late last year we launched a permanent online home for the wedding expo:”

“And this year we have a new online prize draw. Anyone can enter, but we particularly hope people who can’t make it to the expo on the day do so they don’t miss out completely.”

There will also be plenty of great prizes on offer throughout the day. Brides-to-be who register at the door could win a number of prizes including a $400 voucher from Greg Neill Jewellers. And another new feature is the “Mystery” prize draw.

“We’re holding a big prize draw after the fashion parade, so make sure you stay to check this out.”

“Businesses have donated some great prizes for this draw, including an iPad from Westfund Health.”

“If we call out your name after the fashion parade, you have won something, but what it is will be a surprise!”

Proceeds from the day’s gold coin entry donation goes to Breast Cancer Support Services.
